Simple Media Kit Template | Freebie + My Media Kit Tips

If you are here you probably already know what a media kit is. But if you don't you can read all about them in my post here. Now I want to share my media kit tips with you and the template I use to make my media kit. Be aware it is a photoshop PDF template so you need photoshop to edit it.

MY MEDIA KIT TIPS

- Use a print font for all of your stats so they are easier to read.

- Your kit should reflect your blog and your brand so if you are colorful include color but use color sparingly, so the kit isn't to hard on the eyes. Use pops of color to liven it up, but don't over do it.

- Use a dark, easy to read color for all of your stats.

- Be detailed in your about sections. Let them get to know you and your blog!

- Always use your real following numbers. And include all of your online handles!

- Make sure they can find your email easily. Include it in your about section.

ABOUT THE TEMPLATE

- As I said to edit these templates to your stats you need Photoshop. The template is all Photoshop PDF files so that they can be edited.

- The font is set to Verdana Regular because it comes with Photoshop so it will be the same on all computers for your editing. You can download free fonts from sites like dafont.com. Font and color customizations are 100% up to you.

- I made the template super simple so you can make it 100% yours!

- If you'd like to change the social media accounts represented in the kit you can download free social media icons and change them any way you'd like. You can find a ton of buttons in Carrie's post here.

- When saving these files after editing make sure you save a PDF copy so you can edit the stats as your numbers grow. You can save a PNG version for uploading it to create one file.

- Each page has to be edited separately and added together online.

- You can merge files into one PDF online. I like to use combinepdf.com You can combined PDF, PNG or JPEG files into a multi-page PDF file.

- If you would like to have a single page media kit you can use the Single page template provided!

- If you don't have social media just for your blog that is ok! You don't have to! Just delete that bit!

- The blank page is for anything you'd like to add. Such as, Brands I've Worked With, FAQ, extra stats, Snippets from popular posts on your blog, your PR policies, anything you'd like to add to your kit.

- The services are just suggestions. You can change them however you want.

**Please remember a template is a guide. You can customize it any way you want**

HOW TO EDIT THE TEMPLATE

1. Unzip the file by right clicking the file and clicking extract all

2. Open the pages you'd like to edit in Photoshop.

3. Change the colors and fonts to your linking and edit all the information to your info and stats

4. Save the file as a PDF so you can edit it again when your numbers go up. You can save a PNG copy if you'd like.

5. To make a Multi-page kit open combinepdf.com on your web browser.

6. Select the files you want to include. They can be PDF, PNG or JPEG.

7. When they finish uploading click combine and download your new multi-page media kit.

8. You will find the new file in your downloads on your computer titled combinepdf. You can rename it and move it to wherever on your computer you' like.

And now you are ready to send it out to any PR team you'd like!

You can download the Template here. It downloads as a zip file containing 3 templated pages and a blank page for a multi-page kit and a template for a single page. I'm sorry if you don't have photoshop, in order for it to be editable it has to be photoshop PDF files.

If you need help on what to include you can check out my post all about what you need in you kit here! Thanks for checking out this post!

xoxo, Cassie
